Pronewable Development joins NedZero, the Dutch wind energy association

Since the end of 2024, Pronewable Development has been operating as an independent development company, evolving from Pondera Consult. With an experienced team and a clear mission, we focus on the development of a sustainable energy system. Joining NedZero is a logical step for us. The energy transition requires cooperation between developers, network operators, governments and other stakeholders. Within NedZero, we find a network of parties who, like us, want to accelerate progress through knowledge sharing, joint development and the bundling of expertise.

What we bring to the network 

Pronewable Development combines the agility of a young organisation with years of experience in renewable energy development. We have now realised 407 MW and are working on development projects totalling 7.3 GW, spread across more than eight countries. Our projects cover the entire energy chain, from onshore and offshore wind to energy storage, hydrogen and system integration.

Examples include the wind project at the Strekdammen in Eemshaven (11 MW, 2× GE 5.5 MW), a licensed 5 MW BESS installation at the same location and an investment in Tethys Energy Storage. Our international portfolio includes projects in the Netherlands, Latvia and Romania. We are characterised by a strong pioneering spirit: we take the first step in complex processes and actively seek collaboration to realise innovative solutions.
